Pierre Luu

Pierre Luu, Chief Technology and Information Officer

Mr. Luu has over 20 years of experience in integrating secured large scale image-based software and hardware systems for financial institutions. As a computer scientist with CSC Financial Group, he was the technical lead of the team that produced the first image statement system in the world for American Express, the first image keying system for travelers checks, the first off-shore image keying system for the credit card industry, the first Giro processing system in Europe for Robobank and the first fraud detection system via self-learning pattern recognition and clustering technology for Union Bank. In 2006, Mr. Luu won the CSC Worldwide Award for Technical Excellence for his work on the Fraud detection technology team.

In the latee 90s, Mr. Luu retained by Dr. Huy Trinh to computerize his medical office and move it to a paperless digital system. The principal requirements included ease and simplicity of use, reliability, compliance with record keeping and privacy laws, ability for electronic patient records to stand up in court and to significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for a doctor to prepare patient notes. Mr. Luu not only created the software that met those needs, but also manages to keep the cost of the software and its operation affordable for the offices of small medical practitioners. As a result, Dr. Trinh's immense satisfaction has created multiple referrals for the Liquid EMR software which is now deployed in over sixteen clinics ranging from surgical centers to urgent care and occupation medicine centers and primary care clinics.

Mr. Luu received an MS degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern Polytechnic University and a BS degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
